High Peak Labour Party has been campaigning for a solution to Glossopdale’s traffic problems for more than 30 years, working with neighbouring MPs and councils.
It has never sought to block the bypass.
The current scheme is a step in the right direction, but it is not a complete solution to Glossop’s traffic problems. In fact it literally pushes the problems down the road from Mottram – into Tintwistle and Glossop itself.
We call on Robert Largan to join us in supporting Glossopdale residents in campaigning for a proper solution to the area’s traffic congestion problems. He should try focusing on that and stop trying to slur High Peak Labour.
