Derbyshire Discretionary Fund: to apply call 01629-533399


Emergency cash payment to help pay for food or heating and/or an ‘exceptional pressure grant’ for people who are on benefits or have moved into work in the last 3 months.

You can apply for 3 emergency cash payments within 12 months. After 3 payments, you can also apply for:

Up to 2 grants of £64, + £20 for each additional member of the household and a payment towards heating:

Food Banks

Glossopdale Foodbank  – https://glossopdalefoodbank.org.uk/get-a-food-parcel 

No referral is needed. Any one in financial hardship can collect a food parcel at either Glossop Children’s Centre: Monday to Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 5. 00 p.m.

or Hadfield Children’s Centre:  Tuesday and Thursday 10.00 to 11.00

or Gamesley, The Pantry (G52):  Monday to Friday 10.00 to 3.00

If you are in financial hardship and self-isolating or house bound, a parcel can be delivered to your home address. Glossopdale FB has a designated Foodbank Adviser – Ghazala Darr based at Glossop CAB: 07730 089657 or email at ghazala.darr@ddcab.org.uk She can help you increase your income, reduce debts & help with many other problems.
